At the University of St Andrews, entrepreneurship isn’t just about startups – it’s about community, collaboration, and a shared vision for the future. That spirit was on full display as we officially launched the University of St Andrews Alumni Founders Community, a new initiative designed to connect, support, and empower entrepreneurial alumni from around the world.
A Community for Founders, by Founders
The Alumni Founders Community is an inclusive space for aspiring, current, and established entrepreneurs, as well as those passionate about supporting startups and innovation. More than just a network, it’s a dynamic platform where alumni can:
- Share their knowledge to inspire both students and fellow graduates
- Build meaningful relationships that expand their personal and professional networks
- Gain visibility for their ventures through events and community platforms
- Tap into the rich academic and entrepreneurial ecosystem of St Andrews
This initiative offers a unique opportunity for alumni to give back, shape the future of entrepreneurship at St Andrews, and help the next generation of founders thrive.
We kicked things off with two vibrant launch events; a private dinner at the Rusacks, St Andrews on 26th June, followed by an open meeting and discussion at the Entrepreneurship Centre on 27th June. Both were well-attended and filled with energy, enthusiasm, and a shared passion for entrepreneurship, with alumni flying in from all around the world to attend.
Guests included alumni at all stages of their entrepreneurial journey – from early-stage founders to seasoned investors – and the sense of community was immediate and powerful.

Importantly, this is a community led by alumni, with support from the Entrepreneurship Centre team. We believe in building a space that evolves with the needs and aspirations of its members.
