Our Eden Campus is set up for technology developers and innovating companies. For change makers and bold thinkers.

When you partner with us, you get access to state-of-the-art facilities that help you test, prototype and develop. Solve key technical challenges, increase product performance, and improve business operations. Take advantage of state-of-the-art materials characterisation equipment and our expert technicians.

Rapid Prototyping Centre

The Rapid Prototyping Centre (RPC) provides a resource to both local startups as well as the campus community. With the latest 3D modelling and CAD software, electromechanical engineering tools, additive printing technology, laser cutting facilities and large scale CNC machines, the space enables innovators to design, build and test prototypes of their inventions.

Fuel cell development and production suite

A suite of clean, dust-free laboratory spaces for the development of fuel cells, including a processing room and printing room. With additional facilities including an electronics workshop and the Rapid Prototyping Centre, the space is equipped for a complete end-to-end production of hydrogen fuel cells.

Battery scale-up facility

A facility for the production of commercial-scale batteries showcases St Andrews’ world-leading battery research programmes. Our expertise in materials chemistry has put us at the forefront of research into new battery chemistries, and this new facility enables the scale-up of this research into production-scale pouch cells. Central to the facility is an 8x14m dry lab: a sealed laboratory with ultra-low moisture conditions, essential to handling these sensitive chemistries.
